Dear Collegues,
we are pleased to announce the 3rd Life Sciences Meeting of the Mediterranean Association for Biomedical Sciences, which will be held in Naples on 13th and 14th November 2025.
The One Health approach is a
concept that provides a comprehensive framework to address the
interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health in tackling
global health challenges. From a microbiological point of view, the declination
of One Health seems to be a direct consequence of the zoonotic potential of
many infectious pathogens, but we have now a clear vision that our ecosystem
includes everything from the microorganisms living in our gut to the home we
live in, the way we live our lives, our immediate environment, the wider
environment, and the world as a whole.
This is the one health principle inspiring the present meeting, which
aims to sustainably balance and optimise the health of people, animals, and
ecosystems through an integrated, unifying approach.
The International Workshop is
open to scientists from all biomedical disciplines involved in innovative
research with particular attention to PhD students, specialty trainees,
postdoctoral scientists, and all researchers who feel young. This meeting
represents a unique opportunity for young scientists and researchers, as well
as their lines of research, to gain visibility, to share knowledge with each
other, and to promote meaningful interactions to facilitate future projects and
collaborations in a complex territory such as the geographical area around the
Mediterranean Sea. Furthermore, this experience will inspire the development of
new research programs for PhD and Specialization Courses students and create
the opportunity to participate in regional, national, and international funding
calls. Young scientists will represent more than half of the scientific content
of the workshop.
Registration is free; however,
the conference will host a maximum of 120 participants. Please share this
invitation with anyone who may be interested in attending.
Sincerely, Meeting Presidents
